Aaron's 199 Fast Facts
- This will be the 21st Hooters Pro Cup Series race to be held at the historic Georgia short track. Only USA International Speedway in Lakeland, Fla., has hosted more Pro Cup races.
- Current Aaron's Southern Division point leader Woody Howard has won once in the state of Georgia and is hoping to make it two with a win at Peach State Speedway. Another win would extend his point lead over second-place driver Chase Pistone.
- The first race at PSS last year featured 17 lead changes. Given the speeds and drivers' ability to pass on the half-mile oval, the Aaron's 199 promises to be a race fan's race.
- Peach State Speedway has produced 12 different winners over 20 races. Only four drivers have had repeat wins, Shane Huffman (5), Marty Ward (3), Bobby Gill (2), and Mario Gosselin (2).
- In the spring race at Peach State last season, Trevor Bayne and Dange Hanniford both led laps for the first time in their Pro Cup career. Bayne and Hanniford are into their sophomore season and both are still searching for their first HPCS win.
- Only 4 times in the 20 races held at Peach State has the pole sitter gone on to victory lane. In the April 2006 HPCS event Clay Rogers became the fourth driver to achieve that distinction, joining Shane Huffman (2003), Jason Sarvis (2002) and Chad Chaffin (1998).
- Seven Aaron's Southern Division drivers call the state of Georgia home, No.2 Matt Hawkins, No.15 Bill Plemons, No.17 Mike Garvey, No.40 Dusty Williams, No.98 Justin Wakefield, No.99 Brett Butler, and No.00 Buckshot Jones. All would like to take the checkered flag and keep the Aaron's 199 trophy at home in Georgia.
