  • In the season opener at USA International it was the 2007 crop of rookie showing the way with six finishing in the top ten.
  • Matt Hawkins, 2007 Rookie Contender, wrote his name in the USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series (HPCS) record book by become the only driver to win in his very first start.
  • It was a day for breaking records as 19 drivers broke the HPCS qualifying track record at USA International.
  • Dange Hanniford had a career best second place finish in the fall race at South Georgia, and his team mate Northern Division driver AJ Frank finished third, looking the team to try to gain that first HPCS win.
